Thermodynamics of locomotives. 100 problems

The main applications are inspired by the nature and operation of the thermal traction engines that equip diesel electric locomotives and hydraulic diesel locomotives from Romania and other countries. Subsequent to these diesel engines, the nature of the presented problems was also inspired by other thermodynamic processes specific to locomotives with internal combustion engines with compression ignition, as well as by the physical phenomena that take place at the level of pneumatic, lubrication, fuel supply installations fuel, hydrostatic, others.

Some of the subjects attacked and subjected to attention in this volume, represented themes addressed in several public support or open presentations in the circle of internal or international congresses or symposia, in which I participated in economy of time. There are also situations when, some of the applications and problems that I presented in the following pages, enjoyed publication in the pages of specialized magazines, which were edited under the auspices of educational institutions and respectable research, such as the "Mechanical Syntheses" Magazine or the "National Rolling Stock Symposium", or in tomes of works launched on the occasion of participation in various technical and scientific events such as conferences, colloquiums, workshops, scientific communication sessions, other internal and international congresses.
