Applied Mechanics in Robotics. Methods and Models

The objective of the book is to create useful material for understanding the modeling techniques of mechanical systems, in general, and robotic systems, in particular. The principles and theorems presented have been known for a long time. What can be seen as original is the architecture that explains the connection between hypotheses, parameters and methods using the object-oriented analysis paradigm.

The theoretical material includes a permanent mention of the meaning of the concepts used and is always accompanied by examples.

They were chosen in accordance with two objectives: simplicity (to be easily understood) and suggestiveness (to bring as many benefits as possible). Inspired by Lord Rayleigh, along with these specific examples, the book's guinea pig, the one that appears in all chapters, the pendulum system, allows for the comparison of the methods presented.
