Distribution and management systems for essential resources such as water, electricity and natural gas play an essential role in contemporary society, having a major impact both economically and socially. Although traditional approaches have offered functional solutions for managing these resources, the need for modernization and alignment with new technologies is increasingly evident, in order to achieve sustainable and efficient management.
Emerging technologies, such as Blockchain and the Internet of Things (IoT), are generating profound transformations in the field of essential resource management. In particular, Blockchain technology facilitates the development of decentralized software architectures, characterized by transparency, security and high data integrity. These features allow not only real-time monitoring of resource consumption (water, electricity, gas), but also ensuring traceability and accountability of the actors involved.
The integration of these technologies with decision support systems (DSS) and solutions based on artificial intelligence contributes to the optimization of management processes through predictive analysis, automatic identification of anomalies and decision-making. Thus, the premises of a sustainable and intelligent management of resources are created, capable of responding adaptively to the dynamic requirements of the contemporary urban and industrial environment.
