The title "Treatise on thermal engineering in buildings" may seem to many of our specialists in the field of installations as a notion that is far too pretentious, considering that installations in buildings do not represent a primary factor in the life of society.
As authors of this work, we understand and respect their opinions, but we cannot fail to take into account the studies and research, the works carried out in the field of installations that in recent decades have built a basic pillar in achieving an increase in the level of comfort of people in all fields of activity.
That is why we considered it necessary and even useful to present in a more complete and complex work the theoretical and practical issues that underpinned research, design, experimentation, execution and exploitation of heating installations.
What has been written and published so far in the form of references in magazines, some detailed in installation-specific manuals, in research and experimental works, have constituted sources of information for those interested in the field of heating installations.
They have improved the specialized technical literature in the field of installations.
The work includes 20 chapters, divided into two parts: theoretical notions that underlie the calculations for sizing heating installation components and the description and determination of the technical characteristics of heating installation systems.
