The collection of problems in this book was created by the author to facilitate the understanding of the elementary and intermediate notions of microwave technology in the Microwave Systems course taught by him at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of National Polytechnic University of Science and Technology Bucharest.
The collection is mainly addressed to new students in the field and constitutes a complement to the material taught in the course, offering additional problems and exercises designed to help consolidate and deepen the basic notions. So, this does not cover advanced topics like microwave circuits, waveguides, S-parameters, antennas, etc.
Most chapters include a short theoretical summary. In its absence, the concepts can be understood from the solutions presented in the solved problems. Each chapter contains both a section with solved problems and one with proposed problems, along with a section dedicated to solutions and indications for selected problems.
