Large-scale Internet of Things sensor networks in Smart City ecosystems

The theme of this paper is related to the concept of IoT (Internet of Things) which can provide us with support in overcoming certain major global challenges caused by the demographic explosion, the energy crisis, resource depletion, environmental pollution or the prevention of natural disasters that could occur. A smart city (e.g. Smart City) maximizes the benefits for city administrators and its residents while minimizing the negative effects on the environment, contributing to reducing expenses and achieving savings.
