With this book, Dr. Dutu aims to introduce to students the basic principles of the seismic isolation technology. She focused especially on the construction site details, only mentioning a small calculation example so the students would have, initially, the big picture of the topic. Her aim is to raise their curiosity, and then gradually give them all the details (calculations, design method, building codes, etc.).
